Slough: The muddy swampy area of the Everglades where the alligators live.
 
Pine land: The forest part of the Everglades where trees are abundent.  Where the deer, fox, and raccoon live.
 
Sawgrass: The part of the Everglades where there are ponds and high grass.  Many various animals live here such as: cranes, frogs, and fish.
 
Mangrove: This is where mangrove plants grow and this is one of the biggest collection of mangrove plants in the world.
